Friday Pic: The Morning the Occupation was Ended
The Capitol Hill Organized Protest, or CHOP, occupied several blocks in Seattle, including one of the Seattle Police's precinct stations, for over three weeks. On Wednesday July 1 the city retook with area. They created a perimeter around the entire occupied zone and brought heavy equipment in to haul away all vestiges of the occupation. Here protesters and media are gathering outside of one of the perimeters, a half-block from Jimi Hendrix's statue on Broadway Ave.
